SHINYAでは、10月26日(土)から11月9日(土)まで 大嶽有一鉄彫刻展」を開催いたします。
それに先立ち10月11日(金)からARTS &SCIENCE AOYAMAさんにて「大嶽有一鉄彫刻展」が開催されます。
10月11日にA&Sのウェブサイトに大嶽有一氏の特集ページが公開されました。

以前SHINYAでの展覧会でご購入くださった作品を展示されていたというご縁もあり、服や靴バッグやジュエリーが並ぶ店内に、大嶽氏の最新作品を含む38点の鉄彫刻が展示・販売されることとなりました。
ウィメンズアイテムの旗艦店であるA&S AOYAMAさんの洗練された空間のなかで、どのような相互作用が生まれるのか、私自身この展示をとても楽しみにしています。
10月12日( 14:00 – 18:00 )は大嶽有一氏が在店されます。
作家と直接話す機会はなかなかありませんので、ご都合がよろしければ是非足をお運びくださいますようお願い申し上げます。
＊SHINYAでの大嶽有一氏の在店日は10月26日と11月3日です。

SHINYA is going to hold ‘Yuichi Otake Sculpture of Iron Exhibition’ from 26th October to 9th December.
Before SAHINYA’s Exhibition, ARTS &SCIENCE Aoyama holds ‘Yuichi Otake Sculpture of Iron Exhibition’ from 11th October to 29th December.

The exhibition will feature 38 iron sculptures, including the latest works by Mr. Otake, in the shop, which is lined with clothes, shoes, bags and jewelry.
This exhibition realised because of a connection which his work has been bought and displayed by A&S.
I am very much looking forward to seeing how the iron works will interact in the sophisticated space of A&S, the flagship store for women’s items.
On 12th October (14:00-18:00), Yuichi Otake will be in the shop.
It is a rare opportunity to speak directly with the artist, so if you can make it, please come along.
Mr. Yuichi Otake will be in SHINYA on 26th October and 3rd November.

ウィンドウに栗木達介作品を展示しています
昨日、ウィンドウに栗木達介（1943-2013)の「銀彩文壺」を展示しました。
ウィンドウに飾るものはお店の顔といいます。
展示するものでお店に来られる方の傾向が面白いくらい変わります。
走泥社の作品を飾るともちろん走泥社好きなお客様がいらっしゃいます。
デザインの優しい感じのものを展示すると、女性のお客様がぐっと増えたりします。
昨日は、栗木達介を知っているという二十歳くらいの若い男性外国人がいらっしゃいました。
大変感動しました。

KURIKI Tatsusuke’s piece on display in the window
We started to display KURIKI Tatsusuke’s (1943-2013) ‘Silver-coloured vase’ in the window yesterday.
The window display is the face of the shop.
The pieces we display in the window change the trend of visitors to the shop in an interesting way.
If we display pieces from Soudeisha, of course there will be visitors who like Soudeisha.
If we display pieces with a gentle design, the number of female visitors increases dramatically.
Yesterday, there was a young foreign man of about 20 years old who said he knew KURIKI Tatsusuke.
I was very impressed.

ウインドウ 加茂霊峰
京都国立近代美術館の「走泥社再考」展も終わり、店の展示の走泥社の作品のボリュームを少しずつ小さくしているところです。
この2か月間は走泥社の作品ばかりを展示していたウィンドウには、京都の金工作家、加茂霊峰(1903-1981)の作品を置きました。共箱がないので残念ながら作品の名前はわかりません。
1940年代の作品と推定されますが、土星を連想させるこのフォルム、リベットを打ち込んだ機械的なデザイン、本当に80年も前の作品？と思ってしまうほど衝撃的な作品です。ですがその斬新な面だけではなく、確かな技術で製作されているので時代を経ても新鮮さが失われていません。

’Soudeisha Exhibition’ at The National Museum of Modern Art, Kyoto was over.
Now we are reducing the volume of Soudeisha artists’ works in the shop.
Window which had displayed only Soudeisha’s works for last two months is now dislpaying a metal work by Kyoto metalwork artist KAMO Reihou(1903-1981).
It doesn’t have a tomobako-box so its name is unknown.
It presumes 1940s work, however its figure which make you imagine Saturn, mechanical design using rivets make you amazed and give you a strong impact it was 80 years old. Not only its design but also its technique allows this work keep fresh and timeless.

植物とアートのある暮らし Living with Arts ＆ Plants
7月24日からはじめた、花・谷中さんとの「植物と器との出会いのシリーズ」
2回分をアップしました。
今は走泥社にフォーカスして走泥社の同人だった作家の方たちの作品にいけていただいています。
その「走泥社展」も余すところ1週間となりました。
「植物と器との出会いのシリーズー走泥社編」は、あと数回アップの予定です。
この展覧会、京都の後は、岐阜、岡山、東京と巡回するそうです。

The “Series of encounters between plants and vessels.” with HANA.Taninaka started on July 24.
We uploaded two pieces of the serie today.
The current series focuses on the works of artists who used to be members of the Soudeisha group.
The “Soudeisha Exhibition” has only one week left.
The “Series of encounters between plants and vessels-Soudeisha” will be uploaded several more times.
After Kyoto, the exhibition will travel to Gifu, Okayama, and Tokyo.

「走泥社再考 前衛陶芸が生まれた時代」開催中
9月24日(日)まで京都国立近代美術館で
「走泥社再考 前衛陶芸が生まれた時代」が開催されています。
走泥社を3つの時期に分けて考察しており、それぞれの時期に走泥社に参加した作家たちの作品の展示と資料のスライドをみることができます。
アート作品の鑑賞だけでなくそれらの作品が生み出されるまでの歴史や背景などにフォーカスした展覧会だと感じました。
仕事柄、「走泥社は世界的に有名」と思っていたのですが、地元京都でそれほどの認知度がないらしく驚いているところです。
とても価値あるこの展覧会。お見逃しなく。
写真を撮っていい作品は八木一夫の作品3点。
八木一夫といえば…の「サムザ氏の散歩」ではなく、「月」の写真を撮りました。

”The Soudeisha Group: An Era Born Out of Avant-garde Ceramics” is being held at The National Museum of Modern Art, Kyoto through September 24 (Sun.).
The exhibition examines The Soudeisha by dividing it into three periods, and exhibits works by the artists who participated in The Soudeisha during each period, as well as slides of their materials. I felt that the exhibition focused not only on the artworks, but also on the history and background of the artists who created them.
As the person who is working in the art field and know there are a lot of fans of Soudeisha all over the world, it is quite surprising to find out that The Soudeisha is not so well known in Kyoto.
This is a very valuable exhibition. Don’t miss it.
The works that are allowed to be photographed are three works by YAGI Kazuo.
I chose “Moon” instead of the famous “Mr.Samsa’s Walk”

アートフェア東京2023では「大嶽有一鉄彫刻」をご紹介いたしました。

SHINYA introduced “Yuichi OTAKE – Sculpture of Iron” at ART FAIR TOKYO 2023.
It was our first time to exhibit Yuichi OTAKE’s works in Tokyo, but we could come to know so many people and received very positive feedbacks.
Thanks to all of you, we were able to end the exhibition successfully.
We would like to express our deepest gratitude to everyone who visited our booth and purchased Yuichi OTAKE’s works. Thank you so much.
From now on, SHINYA will exhibit 20th century works as usual, so please stop by if you are interested.
